Tygra also has a sense of loyalty towards his family since childhood, despite his early resentments against them, which can be seen when he knocked Lion-O into the Forbidden Ruins as a child, but immediately went to find help, or having Lion-O's back when Lion-O stood up against the Thunderans' treatment of the lizards or when making peace with Lion-O when entering the Astral Plane. However Tygra has shown to be mature as well, when he obeyed Lion-O's orders without disrespect. He was also quite offended when Lion-O declared that when he became king, he hoped that he'd be nothing like him. He often displayed feelings of jealousy and resentment toward his younger brother and originally felt he was better suited to be king. Tygra can be cocky and arrogant at times (In Curse of Ratilla, he claimed to be "right about everything"). Though his personal fighting style tends to be stealthy and disciplined, his style of command is generally blunt and forceful. Tygra is also a trained military tactician, having studied military strategy under King Claudus. Tygra has shown to be a skilled unarmed combatant and swordsman as well as enjoying tinkering with the handheld blaster he took from one of the lizards. It's undetermined if the rifle was a weapon confiscated from the lizards or yet another gift from the Berbils. Tygra is seen using a sniper-type rifle to protect Cheetara in New Alliances. He also uses an energy pistol as his weapon and shows great accuracy with it. Tygra has the ability to render himself invisible with his whip, likely some form of magic. Like the rest of the Cats, his foot coverings essentially leave him barefoot, capable of using his claws for climbing or traction. He is seen wearing two outfits, a blue outfit and green armor, though he is usually wearing the green armor when in combat. He has red-orange fur with black stripes and white areas. Being adopted, he looks very different from his adopted family. 4.7 The City of Dogs & entering The Pit.4.6 Tiger Clan Reunion & Cursed Revelations.4.1 Cursed Birth & Royal Thunderian Adoption. It was a show with good animation, voice acting (not Mummra, not hammy enough) but the plot was a mess. >there was never the sense of urgency about retaking the country and saving the remaining populace No emotional build up, not central to the plot >only later, without any building up we get that some thunderians were enslaved and that was it. >soon the plot went to the "collect the magical mcguffins" >where the fuck the whole population went? They all died? Enslaved? The thundercats didnt seem to care or give any thought, no emotional component at all ![]() >where Panthro got replacement pieces for thundertank maintenance >while 5 minutes before they were a sword, bow and arrow society >suddenly everybody and their mothers knew how to operate a piece of tech like the thundertank >even before getting the thundertank they covered an awful stretch of land when they were fleeing fucks with only the clothes they were wearing >for a society that enslaved outsiders like the lizards, they were awful ignorant of the world, also nobody seems to know about them, a militaristic enslaving society >nobody outside takes note that Thundera fell, it was business as usual >the Thundercats flee but after 5 minutes they forgot about their lost Jerusalem ![]() >pilot establishes that Thundera was a the dominant kingdom or city state in the region but literally after 2 or 3 episodes the plot lost coherence I really liked the sword smith episode though. This is a show that had limitless potential, then squandered it because the writers they hired just weren't up to the task. Then immediately goes into this grander scale story about the fate of the universe, when it hasn't even finished captivating the audience on why we should care about these particular characters or their own planet. The show doesn't even try to bullshit you, it just admits it has terrible writing at that point. ![]() Really didn't like that Lion-O actually dies, and is then brought back because he's 'too important' a character. Makes the audience think you've already run out of steam, and made it feel like we were already getting anime filler type shit. Not a great look for your show when the 3rd episode is literally a Moby Dick reference. The show fell apart once the king dies and they go on their journey. If it kept that tone and pace, it would have been fucking incredible.
